There’s a lot of dos and Don’ts in the fight against Acne solutions and it's sat this point and there’s more to follow! To get your head around all of this, make a simple, five-step list of things to do everyday and keep it in your wallet for ready reference. Over time, you’ll refine this regimen to suit your unique needs and preferences.
Remember, if this regimen is not working for you, it means you’re not strictly following the principles outlined here.Before we move on to other parts of this Acne solution regimen, remember this: no two individuals look alike on the outside, so it should logically follow that we all have at least subtle differences on the inside. We react differently to different  
foods and medicines, so don’t follow this regimen blindly. Start with strict adherence, but experiment, refine, and fine tune the regimen as you go along.

Step 2.
Acne solutions Food.
There’s very little left to eat in the world! It’s true that this regimen is fairly restrictive, but there’s a ton of great-tasting and nutritious food to eat:
1. Whole wheat Pasta made with olive oil, organic or home made tomato paste, herbs, and vegetables (optional: just before eating, add 10 to 15 ml of flax seed oil - see the post ‘step two, part 3’).2. Fried rice with shrimp and fish, or eggs, or if you must eat meat, chicken, made with olive oil (optional: just before eating, add 10 to 15 ml of flax seed oil - see the post ‘step two, part 3’).3. South Indian cuisine including chutneys, powders with ghee, dals and vegetable curries. Add ghee to everything here (optional: just before eating, add 10 to 15 ml of flax seed oil - see the post ‘step two, part 3’). If you can, completely avoid rice and rotis! In your fight against Acne solutions.Whole meal toast and omelettes. Curiously, boiled eggs can trigger acne - avoid them if it’s true in your case.

4. There’s something about the omelette-making process, particularly when made with olive oil, that makes them OK, but not boiled eggs. If you must eat boiled eggs, throw the yolk out and eat the boiled while part.5 Once again, if you can, cut out bread altogether and just eat the omelettes.6. Organic bananas.  Almonds and cashew nuts - yes, they contain fat, but eat them without frying them, and they are great for acne-prone skin. If you can’t give up meat, lean, cold cuts of meat are OK if consumed occasionally. Deli-style sandwiches are OK too if eaten with just one slice of slim cheese but without mayo, butter and other acne-causing toppings. Ensure there’s nothing fried in them. Personally, even mustard doesn’t agree with me. I just use the original, natural Tabasco sauce on all sandwiches with vegetables, such as olives, jalapenos, pickles, finely cut bell peppers, and tomatoes. 

7. If you cannot give up your tea or coffee with milk, you can very gently add it back to your diet (but the same doesn’t hold true for cheese, butter, ice creams, chocolates, etc. - These products must be avoided like the plague). First, use toned, medium-fat milk (e.g., 2% milk). Low fat milk tastes awful and full fat milk will give you terrible break outs. Second, drink plenty of water before consuming your tea of coffee with milk. Third, use only a small quantity of sugar. Fourth, drink no more than two cups of tea or coffee with milk each day.
8. Tomato soup without butter. Tomato paste without dairy products. Natural or organic tomato ketchup, such  
As Heinz. Freshly made tomato chutneys. Tomato pasta sauce made In olive oil… you get the idea.9. Stir-fried vegetables.
10. The occasional salad with a simple olive oil dressing (optional: just before eating, add 10 to 15 ml of flax 
 Seed Oil - see the post ‘step two, part 3’).11. Anything made with vegetables. Anything made with olive oil so long as it’s not fried.12. All whole-meal or wholegrain breads eaten in moderation so long as you don’t add butter, mayo, or cheese. 13. Anything made with rice although you should limit your intake of carbs to ensure you stay in shape.14. Most beans, particularly lentils. I find that Indian-style chai made with 2% fat milk agrees with me. When   
 Traveling abroad, I also rely on basic coffee roast, topped up with 2% fat milk and some raw cane sugar.
Personally, wheat products don't agree with me all that much. I almost completely avoid bread, pasta, and other wheat-based stuff. I use rice as the base for my meals coupled with South Indian fare such as a lentil powder.
Step three - What to eliminate from your diet.
Before we conclude on this Acne solution; let’s talk about the worst culprits in triggering break outs: milk, particularly full fat milk, butter, & cheese - basically most dairy and dairy-derived products such as ice cream and milk chocolate (on yogurt, you'll have experimented a bit to find out whether it agrees with you. After removing all other forms of dairy from your diet, leave low-fat or medium-fat yogurt/curd in and see what happens). Banish sugary sweets and deep-fried everything including fried chicken, fried potato crisps, fried bread crumbs… you get the idea. Also avoid red meat such as beef and on second thought, avoid meat, period. My skin stays clear during weeks when I give up all animal and bird meat. Try grilled or baked sea food instead.

Causes of acne are unknown, but it is believed that it can result from several factors, primarily, an increase in hormones called androgen's, which both males and females have. Increases in androgen's cause your oil glands to enlarge and produce more oil. This oil can also change into a thick white substance called sebum. An increased oil production clogs your pores with oil and sebum that can breakdown the cellular walls in your pores,    
                                                   
which causes bacteria to grow and pimples to develop.
Some researchers also believe that your chances of developing acne can be greatly influenced by genetics. The use of certain drugs containing androgens and lithium are known to cause acne. They also shed dead skin cells from the follicle lining, and a natural oil called sebum. In acne, keratin and sebum are produced to excess. The follicles become blocked by keratin, sebum and dead skin cells. The blockages lead to the symptoms of acne.
Once the follicles (or pores) get blocked, a specific bacterium called Propionibacterium which is normally harmless infects the blocked ducts. The result is inflammation and damage to the skin and underlying tissue. The bacterium (usually abbreviated to P. acnes) is anaerobic. This means that it does not use oxygen to survive. In fact, it does best in the absence of oxygen so it's perfectly adapted to cause maximum trouble in blocked pores.
It's All In Your Hormones                        
Both genetic factors and the body's hormones are key issues when considering what are the causes of acne. The rate of keratin production is linked to genetic factors. This is why acne has significant genetic dependency. In other words, it tends to run in families. Due to the presence of male hormones called androgens, the rate of sebum production increases in puberty. The male sex hormones cause enlargement of the sebaceous glands and increase the rate of sebum production.
The effect on the skin's pores varies. They may be blocked, become enlarged and appear as blackheads, papules, pustules and so on. Some may become closed pockets of dead skin cells, these are a very common dermatological feature known as milia and are not limited to acne. In girls and women, hormonal changes linked to menstruation may also contribute to the likelihood of an acne outbreak.
Just for the record, the androgens that are associated with acne are testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAS). There's another similar cause which does not arise naturally - steroids. The use of anabolic steroids can lead to acne as they have a very similar effect to naturally occurring androgens.
Although acne is frequently seen in adolescence and early adult life, it may break out later in life too. What are the causes of acne later on in life? Hormone activity naturally increases during pregnancy and as a consequence, pregnant women are disposed to suffering acne outbreaks. During the menopause, there is progressive reduction in the production of the female hormone estradiol and acne is sometimes seen at this time as a result.
Other Causes Of Acne
There may be a relationship between stress and acne. Opinions do vary, but it is commonly proposed that an increase of stress may provoke or worsen an acne outbreak. The causality is still disputed. Although there is a likely correlation between stress and acne, it is not clear if the stress results from the challenges of enduring acne, or the other way round.
What are the causes of acne that we might be able to deal with ourselves? Perhaps we could avoid acne by making changes to our diet. There is good evidence that a high GL diet tends to make acne worse. GL is glycemic load; it expresses how much carbohydrate is present in the food and its effect on the levels of glucose in the blood. High GL food tends to cause large peaks in blood glucose levels which may in turn worsen the severity of acne, amongst other undesirable effects.
There is no evidence in favour of various popular myths, for example it is untrue that consuming products like chocolate gives rise to acne or makes it more severe.

CAUSES OF ACNE, INDICATION AND RISKS FACTORS.

Acne
Acne is a skin condition that causes whiteheads, blackheads, and inflamed red growth (Papules,   pustules, and   cysts) to form. These growths are commonly called pimples or "zits."
Causes, incidence, and risk factors
Acne occurs when tiny holes on the surface of the skin, called pores, become clogged.
· Each pore is an opening to a follicle, which contains a hair and an oil gland. These oil glands   
   help lubricate     the skin and help remove old skin cells.
· When glands produce too much oil, the pores can become blocked. Dirt, debris, bacteria, and  
   inflammatory cells build up. The blockage is called a plug or comedone.
· The top of the plug may be white or dark.
· If the plug breaks open, the material inside causes swelling and red bumps to form.
· If the inflammation is deep in your skin, the pimples may enlarge to form firm, painful cysts.
Acne is a problem of swelling and inflammation, not a problem caused by bacteria. Acne is most common in teenagers, but it can happen at any age, even in an infant. Three out of four teenagers have some acne. Hormonal changes probably - cause increased oil in the skin. However, people in their 30s and 40s may have acne.
       Acne tends to run in families and can be triggered by:
       Hormonal changes related to menstrual periods, pregnancy, birth control pills, or stress
·     Greasy or oily cosmetic and hair products.
·     Certain drugs (such as steroids, testosterone, estrogen, and phenytoin)
·     High levels of humidity and sweating.

Despite the popular belief that chocolate, nuts, and greasy foods cause acne, research does not confirm this idea. Diets high in refined sugars may be related to acne.
Symptoms
Acne commonly appears on the face and shoulders, but it may also occur on the trunk, arms, legs, and buttocks.

·         Blackheads
·         Crusting of skin bumps
·         Cysts
·         Papules (small red bumps)
·         Pustules
·         Redness around the skin eruptions
·         Scarring of the skin
·         Whiteheads
Signs and tests
Your doctor can diagnose acne based on the appearance of the skin. Testing is usually 
not required.
Treatment
 SELF-CARE
        
 Steps you can take to help your acne:
· Clean your skin gently with a mild, nondrying soap (such as Dove, Neutrogena, Cetaphil, CeraVe,or Basics). Remove all dirt or make-up. Wash once or twice a day, including after exercising.  However,   avoid scrubbing or repeated skin washing.
·  Shampoo your hair daily, especially if it is oily. Comb or pull your hair back to keep the hair  
out of your face.
What NOT to do:
·  Try not to squeeze, scratch, pick, or rub the pimples. Although it might be tempting to do this,
 It can lead to skin infections and scarring.
· Avoid wearing tight headbands, baseball caps, and other hats
· Avoid touching your face with your hands or fingers.
· Avoid greasy cosmetics or creams. Take off make-up at night. Look for water-based or
"noncomedogenic" formulas. Noncomedogenic products have been tested and proven not to clog, pores and cause acne.
If these steps do not clear up the blemishes, try over-the-counter acne medications.
You apply these products directly to your skin.
· They may contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid.
· They work by killing bacteria, drying up skin oils, or causing the top layer of your skin to peel.
· They may cause redness or peeling of the skin. A small amount of sun exposure may improve acne a little, but mostly it just hides the acne. However, too much exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet rays is not recommended because it increases the risk for skin cancer.
PRESCRIPTION MEDICINES
If the pimples are still a problem, a health care provider can prescribe stronger medications and discuss other options with you. Antibiotics may help some people with acne:
· Oral antibiotics (taken by mouth) such as tetracycline, minocycline, 
   erythromycin, trimethoprim and amoxicillin. 
· Topical antibiotics (applied to the skin) such as, or Creams or gels applied to the skin may be  
   prescribed:
· Retinoic acid cream or gel ( tretrinoin, Retin-A)
· Prescription formulas of peroxides, sulfur, resorcinol, or salicylic acid.
· Topical azelaic acid, for women whose acne is caused or made worse by hormones: 
A pill called spironolactone; may help Birth control. Pills may help in some cases, though may make acne   worse minor procedures or treatments may also be helpful.
· A laser procedure called photodynamic therapy.
· Your doctor may also suggest chemical skin peeling, removal of scars by dermabrasion,
or removal, drainage, or injection of cysts with cortisone.
People who have cystic acne and scarring may try a medicine called isotretinoin (Accutane). 
You will be watched closely when taking this medicine because of its side effects.
Pregnant women should NOT take Accutane, because it causes severe birth defects.
Women taking Accutane must use two forms of birth control before starting the drug, and enroll in the pledge program. Your doctor will follow you on this drug, and you will have regular blood tests.
Expectations (prognosis)
Acne usually goes away after the teenage years, but it may last into middle age.
The condition often responds well to treatment after 6 - 8 weeks, but it may flare up from time to time.
Scarring may occur if severe acne is not treated. Some people, especially teenagers, can become very depressed if acne is not treated.
Calling your health care provider
Call your doctor or a dermatologist if:
· Self-care measures and over-the-counter medicine have not helped after several months
· Your acne is severe (for example, you have a lot of redness around the pimples or you have cysts)
· Your acne is getting worse
· You develop scars as your acne clears up
Call your baby's health care provider if your baby has acne that does not clear up on its own within 3 months.
You can do a lot to treat your acne using products available at a drugstore or cosmetic counter that do not require a prescription. However, for tougher cases of acne, you should consult a physician for treatment options.
What causes acne?
No one factor causes acne. Acne happens when sebaceous (oil) glands attached to the hair follicles are stimulated at the time of puberty by elevated levels of male hormones.
Sebum (oil) is a natural substance which lubricates and protects the skin.  Associated with increased oil production is a change in the manner in which the skin cells mature:
So that they are predisposed to clog the follicular openings or pores. The clogged hair follicle gradually enlarges, producing a bump. As the follicle enlarges,
The wall may rupture, allowing irritating substances and normal skin bacteria access into the deeper layers of the skin, ultimately producing inflammation. Inflammation near the skin's surface produces a pustule; deeper inflammation results in a papule (pimple); deeper still and it's a cyst. If the oil breaks though to the surface, the result is a "whitehead."If the oil accumulates melanin pigment or becomes oxidized, the oil changes from white to black,
And the result is a "blackhead." Blackheads are therefore not dirt and do not reflect poor hygiene.
Here are some factors that don't usually play a role in acne:
Heredity: 
With the exception of very severe acne, most people do not have the problem exactly as their parents did. Almost everyone has some acne at some point in their life. Food: Parents often tell kids to avoid pizza, chocolate, greasy and fried foods, and junk food. Whele" this food may not be good for overall health; they don't cause acne or make it worse Although some recent studies have implicated milk and pure chocolate in aggravating acne, these findings are very far from established.Dirt As mentioned above, "blackheads" are oxidized oil, not dirt.  sweet does not cause acne, therefore, it is not necessary to shower instantly after exercise for fear that sweat will clog pores. On the other hand, excessive washing can dry and irritate the skin. Some people get so upset by their pimples that they pick at them and make them last longer.Stress: however, does not play much of a direct role in causing acne.Pressure: In some patients, pressure from helmets, chin straps, collars, suspenders, and the like can      aggravate acne.Drugs:  Some medications may cause or worsen acne, such as those containing iodides, bromides, or oral or injected steroids (either the medically prescribed prednisiun [Deltasone, Orasone, Prednicen-M, Liquid Pred] or the steroids that bodybuilders or athletes take).Other drugs that can cause or aggravate acne are anticonvulsant medications and lithium. (Eskalith, Lithobid), which is used to treat bipolar disorder most cases of acne.Occupations: In some jobs, exposure to industrial products like cutting oils may produce acne.
Cosmetics: Some cosmetics and skin-care products are pore clogging (comedogenic) Of the many available brands of skin-care products, it is important to read the list of ingredients and choose those which have water listed first or second if you are concerned about acne. These "water based" products are usually safe.
